An assualt landing craft on Orange 1 Beach at Vasteriva. The picture was taken during the landing made by Mills-Roberts party from 4 Commando. To the right is the steep gully through the cliffs up which the commandos had to make their way. In the background, the coast sweeps round to Green Beach with Dieppe beyond.
