Glider No. 93 on LZ X on 12 June. This photograph clearly shows how the glider broke in two as the pilot tried to swerve to avoid a crash with glider No. 91. Three men were thrown through the cockpit and oput of the glider as it came to a sudden halt. The platoon commander, Lt Smith; the MO, Captain John Vaughan and a priovate who drowned in the pond.
