The Japanese caption on the back of the image reads: "The enemy vessels moored on the northwest side of Ford Island opposite the battleships were also violently attacked and put out of action by our assautl force. From the left of the photographs two heavy cruisers are both listing badly. The white object seen next to them is the bottom of a completely capsized ship.
