An ammunition truck burns fiercely near Cintheaux on 8 August. The fires that poured from several wrecked tanks of Lt Col Jolly's column which had hit mines, plus the anti-aircraft tracer fired above the axis of Jolly's advance, meant that as 5th Cameroon Highlanders advanced towards Lorguichon during the night of 7/8 August the men found lack of visibility to be less severe problem than those of many other units.
